The Over the Hill Hikers is a casual group of individuals who gather to enjoy hiking. We are not a formal club or a non-profit organization. We do not have official positions or derive any benefit beyond the shared joy of hiking. Our group operates on a volunteer basis, relying on the camaraderie of participants to organize hikes and designate a "hike leader."
It is crucial to understand that neither the hike leader nor the organizer assumes any responsibility for your safety. We urge you to be smart and hike within your current physical limits, health status, and endurance levels.
By participating in any hike, organized event, or outing with the Over the Hill Hikers, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks and responsibilities. Hiking, snowshoeing, walking, and similar physical activities inherently involve risks, including but not limited to: scrapes, cuts, strains, broken bones, falls, hypothermia, heat stroke, and even death. You may encounter unmarked trails, uneven surfaces, and unforeseen circumstances.
By joining, you accept these risks and release the Over the Hill Hikers from any liability arising from injury or loss.
Finally, we strongly recommend that you purchase the NH Hike Safe Card, carry the 10 hiking essentials, and familiarize yourself with the details of the hike you plan to undertake.
