The Friday Walk on June 30 was the long loop at Belknap Woods in Center Harbor.  No rain!  And interesting mushrooms!

Avalon Tom Field Willey June 20, 2023

Six of us found a window of opportunity from all of the weather forecasts and hiked various summits in the Willey Range. The weather turned out to be really nice for the entire hike. Denise, Pat and Dick hiked to Avalon (52 WAV 3440), Field (4331) and Willey (4285). Pam, Bob and Doug headed directly to Tom (4052) and met the group at Willey for lunch. After lunch we continued on the Willey Range trail to the Willey Station Rd trailhead. This leg included the challenge of descending six ladders as seen below. Yes, this is a safe way to descend.

The Friday Walkers did the long loop at Chamberlain Reynolds on June 23.  The mountain laurels were in full bloom, so we've decided that we need to do this walk around this date every year!

The B group had a great hike to Smarts Mountain on June 22 with clear skies and beautiful weather.

Hamlin Forest June 20, 2023

A sizable group of Turtles visited Hamlin Forest on June 20 for a hike up to Crockett's Ledge.  Our photo spot (and snack spot) overlooks Lake Wicwas.  We hiked the yellow trails, and the bugs weren't as bad as expected!

Lockes Hill June 6, 2023

On June 6, a large group of Turtles hiked Lockes Hill in Gilford.  It was a lovely day, and we enjoyed sitting in the stone seats that overlook Lake Winnipesaukee.
