Smarts Brook Trail in Campton, NH on Tuesday, June 7th. There were 10 hikers - Jane H led the hike. Some of us stopped for ice cream in Ashland. Beautiful day and the creek was beautiful and running fast.

Eisenhower, June 14th, 2022
Today's forecast was with strong winds. We had better views than we anticipated, and it was a lovely hike. We even got to celebrate Doug W.'s 6th round of 48 4,000 foot and higher mountains, and Pam A.'s 5th round!!! Way to go you two! and excellent cake and beverages... thank you.

Jackson & Webster - June 7, 2022
A good group of us hiked up from Crawford Notch to Mt Jackson (a 4K), then over to Mt Webster (a 52WAV) on a great weather day. The best views from Jackson are mainly eastward along the southern Presidentials to Mt Washington, while the best from Webster are to the west, looking at the Willey Range across the notch and down (darn nearly straight down!) at the highway running up the notch. Below are Pam, Tracy, Doug B, Wharton, and Ginger, with Mt Washington in the background.
Then we have Ginger, Pam, Dick, and Tracy atop Mt Webster, with the Willey Range across the way. The line through the trees at the bottom of the picture is the rail line running up through the notch.

Hedgehog, June 2, 2022
The B group hiked the clockwise loop up to Hedgehog. This is one I've done before, but strangely it did not feel so familiar. I remembered the views being a bit more expansive, but then again, I wasn't even sure we were at the summit. Maybe an off day, or is my vision of hikes all starting to blur together... or are the trees growing that fast? What ever the case, the hike was lovely, the bugs were bad, and the company was wonderful. Not a bad way to spend the day. Thanks to Doug B. for organizing this week's hike.
