Fifteen members enjoyed a picturesque snowshoe trek through the newer part of the Page Pond Community Forest from the Barnard Ridge Road trailhead. The freshly fallen snow gave the leaders a little workout and the use of snowshoes (versus spikes) kept us all warm on this chilly morning. Our plan was to hike about 2 miles but Doug (our leader) wanted to add some distance by zig-zagging the trails and we all followed! After our expedition, we all enjoyed the traditional "soup a thon" and lots of dessert contributions from the group at the Wright's house.
