It was arguably the first warm hiking day of the year for us for a trip up North Moat (a 52WAV), to the west of North Conway. The first 2.4 miles gained little elevation as we passed through the Diana's Bath tourist area and on into the woods. Then it was steeply upward, gaining perhaps 2000 ft in a couple of miles. Below, at the summit, are Patsy, Dick, Pam, Doug, and (foreground) Steve V. In the background above Pam and Doug is Mt Washington, with some lingering snow quite visible.
