Five of us braved the cold temps to enjoy a winter hike up Mt. Israel. The conditions were great. We used microspikes the whole way, but carried our snowshoes in the event the higher elevation required them. The summit was "socked in" as the upcoming storm approaches, but the anticipated new snow is exciting.
