Newest 52WAV
The B Group tackled one of the newest 52 With a View peaks today, Table Mountain. Leader Lacey wisely set up an early start so we could beat the heat. General consensus was that this one was a great addition to the list!
Madison, Adams - August 25, 2021
Maybe it was the weather (warm/hot, humid), and perhaps the prospect of doing a 10+ mile hike with over 5,000 feet of elevation gain in that weather. But only Doug and Dick did this hike, and by separate routes. Doug went up the King Ravine Trail (one of the "Terrifying 25") to Airline and Mt Adams, then down to the Madison hut and up Madison. Meanwhile, Dick went up Valley Way to the hut and Madison, then up to Adams, before the long descent back to the hut and out Valley Way. Starting by 8am got the climb up through the low woods done before things got too hot, and up above treeline things were at most in the low 70s and somewhat breezy where exposed. Below is the view from the Gulfside Trail looking back at the Madison hut, with the peak looming above it.

The Osceolas - August 17, 2021
Pat, Ginger, Larry, John, Doug B., Dick, and Brad (Dick's grandson) hiked up Osceola from Tripoli Rd. The day was quite nice, with long views. Then five of us "went the extra mile" (figuratively and literally), over to East Osceola for lunch. Then it was back to the main peak and on down to the cars. We didn't get any group photos, but here are Larry and Pat going back up the "chimney" at the start of the hike back up Osceola from the col between peaks.

North, Middle Tripyramids - August 10, 2021
Pat, Doug, and Dick hiked up to North and Middle Tripyramids. Doug went upfrom the west, via the Livermore Road and north peak slide, while Pat and Dick too the Pine Bend Brook trail from the Kanc. After meeting atop the north peak and lunching on the middle peak, Doug continued down over the south peak and south slide, then the road to his car, while Pat and Dick retreated to the col between north and middle peaks, where they took the Sabbaday Brook Trail down and out through the Sabbaday Falls tourist area. Then it was a mile hike back up the highway to the car.
Below are Pat and Doug on North Tripyramid.
The Sabbaday Falls area is a nice short walk in from the highway for tourists, especially for kids, or a nice end to a very long hike.

Bridal Veil Falls - August 5, 2021
The sun wasn't shining, but the temps were perfect for a hike through the woods along the falls. The gradual ascent makes it a hike that is doable for most seasoned hikers. The water was crystal clear and the swooshing over the rocks and stones was very relaxing. We had an early lunch at the end of the path, with a few hikers scaling some ledge to get a little closer to the falls. A fun day was had by all.

Carrigain - August 3, 2021
Larry, Marie, Doug, Pam, and Dick did the five mile trek up to the top of Mt Carrigain on a beautiful day for the 360-degree view of the Whites from the observation tower up there. Below is Marie, with the view over to Mt Washington behind her, then Doug and Pam arriving at the top platform.

Galehead - July 28, 2021
Tracy and Dick hiked up the Gale River Trail to the Galehead AMC hut, and on up to the top of Galehead (#44 for Tracy - getting close!). Pictured below are both, outside the hut, with part of the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the background.
Meanwhile, Pam and Doug did the Twins, then Galehead, and finally down to the Gale River Trailhead, for a tailgate party. On that hike, Pam finished round 3, and Doug finished round 4.
