The B Group had a lovely hike up Mt Percival, across the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail and down Mt Morgan. The weather was perfect, the bugs were manageable. We avoided the dreaded ladder section and showed off our scrambling skills on the upper reaches of the Mt Percival Trail.

Cannon May 23, 2023
Seven of us hiked to the summit of Cannon (4080) on Tuesday. The weather was warm and windy. Layers were needed on the summit. Even though there was a smoky haze, we had great views in all directions. There were only a few small snow patches.
Below are Larry, Dave, Dick, Doug, Pam, Bob and Patsy.
Next week's hike will be Moriah on Tuesday May 30.

B group hikes the Doubleheads in Jackson, May 18th 2023
We set out to hike the Doubleheads today with crisp temps and no bugs. We took the steep ski trail up to North Doublehead and the cabin, catching views of the snow covered Mt. Washington. Following a brief snack break, we headed over to the views of South Doubleheads overlook, and then to the actual summit.

B group hikes Mt. Avalon, May 11th 2023
A gorgeous spring day... light to no bugs, a nice breeze, and minimal snow still remains along the Avalon Trail. Once we hit around 2900' we got to the mono-rail. It was manageable, but there were certainly deep places that people had left their post hole mark. We carefully traversed the area searching for dry ground, or even muddy, OR stayed to the center of the mono-rail for better stability. Bare boots the whole way.
The summit was gorgeous, and the view of Mt. Washington never disappoints.

My name is Ginette Beaudoin, and I have been a member of the OTHH group for over 14 years. I was introduced to the group by Marc Tuckerman, after we both attended a leadership training program at Cardigan Lodge. I've generally hiked with the "A" group a few times each year, except during the pandemic. I've been a member of the AMC since 1988, and have led several day and weekend trips in the White Mountains of NH, as well as various parts of Maine. I've led several Austrian Alps hiking and cross-country skiing trips. I've also led Adventure travel trips to Yosemite National Park, Easter Island, Peru, Minnesota, Tuscany, Dolomites, Spain, France, Azores, Norway, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man, Australia, and New Zealand for the AMC. I've also participated in numerous AMC Major Excursions to Switzerland and Austria, involving hiking and cross-country skiing. I've hiked to over 30 high Alpine Huts throughout Austria, France, Germany and Switzerland. I've completed the NH 4000 footers. My interest include hiking, photography, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, travel, and introducing others to adventure travel.
I am now retired, and have been leading hiking and cross country ski trips with Anna Panszczyk, another retired woman from the Boston area, both with the Appalachian Mountain Club, and independently for over 15 years.
We''ll be leading trips to Thailand, Portugal, Mongolia, Nepal, Western Canada and many other exciting areas in the near future. Check us out! Several of the OTHH folks have inquired about trips, and some have even been on our trips!
