Awe-inspiring Imp Face, July 7th 2022

The B Group had the perfect day for a hike up to Imp Face. Located just across the valley from the Presidentials, these sheer cliffs offer breathtaking views of our highest peaks. What a day!

The Friday Walkers hiked to Bald Ledge, on the Sky Pond Trail, on July 8.  An amazing view for very little effort!  We took a moment to raise a Cheeto to Sue Speers, remembering the last time that she was on that walk with us a few years ago.

Liberty & Flume - July 7, 2022

Four of us OTHH hiked in to Mt Liberty, over to Mt Flume, then back up Liberty and out. The weather was great, and the views from atop the Franconia ridge wonderful, as always. Below are Wharton, Dick, Marie, and Doug B., atop Mt Flume. That's Mt Liberty in back and to the left, while Lincoln and Lafayette are above Doug's head. It's always nice to see this side of the Franconia Ridge, a view hidden from the tourists way down below.

Four Turtles ventured out to the Hamlin Eames Smyth Conservation area, west of Meredith, on July 7.  The hikers enjoyed a leisurely conversational pace ascent to beautiful views of Lake Wicwas from Crockett's Ledge and beaver dam views while descending into the four ponds area.  They also witnessed what appeared to resemble a "big foot", though not the real "Big Foot"!!  The bugs were plentiful and accompanied us on our route!

The Turtles hiked Five Finger Point via Undercut Trail on June 28.  Note that we had a guest join us for lunch by the lake!

B group hikes Mt. Blueberry, June 30th, 2022

What a lovely, and "easy" trail this is.  I realize that's a very subjective term, but this is certainly one that is enjoyable, and the ledges past the summit offer gorgeous views.

The blueberries were present, but not ripe yet.  Maybe another week or two depending on the weather.  OMG, though, they are plentiful.  You could get plenty to make a pie if you're patient enough.  It was a gem of a hike, and a perfect weather day.  As some would say, it was a 50 cent day.
