Summer is here (yes, it's the first week of September, and pumpkins are everywhere), and so is 90 degree temps, and full on humidity. But an early start, and a rather empty parking lot at Ferncroft were both a nice way to start this day.
Paugus is a great hike, especially if you work your way all the way over to the beautiful open ledges. Just gorgeous. The trail had a few muddy spots, but this year almost all the trails do. (It's been a very wet summer). All in all it was a great day, and so happy to be home in time for other things... like a dip in the lake!
