June 26th, B hike Mt. Pemigewasset

Today, eleven hikers took to Pemigewasset Mountain on this (rare) beautiful and sunny day!

I say it was rare, but in all likeliness there's some statistic that could prove otherwise... but after two weeks of canceled hikes due to rain, it seems like it's a rare day.  None the less, it was wonderful, and the hike was too!

We staged a car at the Indian Head Resort, and started our accent up at the Flume Visitor Center's Pemigewasset Trail.  The summit was beautiful.  (one of the 52 WAV)  We enjoyed the Indian Head Trail going down, it seemed a bit steep at the top, but we found a rhythm, and the river along the way was a nice visual distraction.  A great hike, with great views.

Doug sharing with us the names of the mountains that you could see from Mt. Pemigewasset.  I believe there was Lafayette, Lincoln, Little Haystack, Liberty and Flume, as well as both Osceola's.
